RAKU WORKSHOP - OBHP students only

Starts Oct 11
75 US dollars
Main Street

Available spots

Service Description

A few things to note about raku: It is not food/water safe as the clay is still porous: Pots are decorative ONLY Pots should be made using WHITE clay Pots need to be bisque-fired before Raku day Glazing will be done on the day of the firing The firing process takes approximately 30 minutes per kiln. 4/5 pots can be fired per kiln, depending on size Each participant is limited to the number of pots that can fit into a 18 x 18 x 18 space. IT IS INTENSE, and pots can break easily due to the thermal shock, but when they live, it is SO good. The process alone is exciting though volatile and, as we all know, pottery is about loving what we create but also learning to let go and knowing when to give em over to the clay gods. ***Refunds will not be given to students who have not prepared work in time.
