Can You Handle It!!? Workshop with Joy.

Service Description

CAN YOU HANDLE IT?! (yes you can!!) In this one-day workshop, students will explore ways to personalize their thrown bowls by altering them with handles, flared rims, and stamping. We will discuss decorative accents and how they inform and affect form and functionality. Students must be intermediate level with the ability to independently throw a 1.5-2lb bowl. If possible (IT IS POSSIBLE :) please bring to the workshop one bowl that is ready to be trimmed that we can work on together. Students will also throw a second bowl during the workshop as we discuss throwing techniques and forms that lend well to alteration. This workshop is meant to foster curiosity and creative exploration so that each individual leaves searching for new ways to develop a personal voice within their work. Can’t wait to meet you!

Cancelation Policy

Classes will be refunded in full if a cancellation notice is received in writing seven days before the first day of the start of an 8-week session. No refund will be issued unless written notification of a cancellation request is received seven days before the first day of an 8-week session. One make-up class per session will be allowed. Make-up classes need to be scheduled within the 8-week session of registration. Make-up classes can be scheduled by contacting Rachel Yu at rachel@oldboroughhallpottery.com
